The Greek pilot site consists of two office buildings (“Artemidos” Building, “Marinou Antypa” Building) and 25 residential dwellings (apartments), all located in the metropolitan area of Athens.

The validation phase of the HOLISDER demand response optimization framework requires the prior installation of specific electrical and electronic equipment in these pilot buildings. This will first enable the launch of the baselining period, i.e. the collection of real-time data for various building parameters (e.g. electricity consumption, temperature, luminance, occupancy, etc.) and, afterwards, facilitate the proper implementation of demand response scenarios and calculation of various KPIs (e.g. energy savings, cost savings, emissions reduction, etc.) towards the achievement of the anticipated goals of the project.

MYTILINEOS is leading the overall installation and commissioning phase of the necessary equipment in the Greek pilot site in collaboration with HYPERTECH. In this context, a detailed installation plan has been designed by these partners to track all necessary activities, including the procurement, installation and commissioning of the equipment in both commercial buildings and residential dwellings, in order to avoid time delays.
Regarding commercial buildings, the procurement, delivery and installation of the equipment has been completed, while commissioning phase is ongoing and is expected to be completed soon. Some minor issues that have emerged (e.g. internet connectivity issues, partial relocation of staff, auxiliary technical works in the electrical network infrastructure, etc.) have been resolved. Next steps comprise the final testing and validation of the installed equipment and the launch of the baselining period.

Equipment that has already been installed and operates normally can be monitored using the Openhab (web platform, also accessible via a mobile application), developed by HYPERTECH. Indicative screenshots from the control panel (dashboards) can be seen below.

Regarding residential dwellings, the procurement and delivery of the equipment has been completed, while the installation and commissioning phase is expected to begin in the next days. In the meantime, the 1st Living Lab Workshop is going to be organized in the Greek pilot site on Thursday 18/04/2019, to raise awareness among end-consumers regarding HOLISDER framework as well as to make a short demonstration of the equipment that will be installed in the residential dwellings to the end-users.
