The 3-year project HOLISDER funded within H2020 programme has been launched in October 2017 with the kick-off meeting in Derio.
HOLISDER “Integrating Real-Intelligence in Energy Management Systems enabling Holistic Demand Response Optimization in Buildings and Districts” will establish a Holistic Demand Response Optimization Framework which adequately tackles all current shortcomings that hinder demand response integration and penetration in energy markets and empowers (mainly residential buildings and small/ medium non-residential) consumers to engage and benefit from energy market transactions, towards reducing their energy bills and further improving their revenues through the provision of services to energy networks.
Strong scientific, technical, technological and manufacturing skills of the project are combined in the well-balanced HOLISDER team of 13 partners from 9 European countries (Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Spain and United Kingdom). They represent research institutes, technology providers, demand response practitioners, standardization experts, end-users and pilot partners.
The HOLISDER framework will be validated in 4 large-scale demonstrators/pilot sites, located in Greece, UK, Finland and Serbia, incorporating diverse building types, heterogeneous home, building and district EMS and devices, a variety of energy carriers and spanning diverse climatic conditions, demographics and cultures.
From 25th to 26th October HOLISDER project had its kick-off meeting in TECNALIA Headquarters in Derio, Spain. The project team met face-to-face and discussed on the project ambition and objectives and its coordinated implementation, with tasks and assignments for the following months. Next General Assembly meeting of the project will be in April 2018 in Helsinki. Please follow the project development through the website and social media.
